“We had another successful Charity Challenge raising over $55,000 for our Children’s Center in Miami in cooperation with Volunteers of America. The focus for 2022 is to give the children we serve access to the game of golf as well as art lessons. Tutoring, mindfulness and yoga classes remain a firm part of the services our Center offers.”

Due to the current circumstances in 2020 we won’t be able to hold our annual Sandra Gal Challenge at Concession Golf Club. The pandemic edition will be a Zoom clinic with Sandra and a surprise guest. You can sign up here and also get involved as a sponsor benefiting the Sandra Gal Children’s Center in Miami. Now is the time your support is needed more than ever. The formerly homeless communities are suffering a great deal from the current situation and it is vital to provide a support net for their children with our Center.

I have joined forces with nonprofit organization “Volunteers of America of Florida to create the Sandra Gal Children’s Center! Since 1896 Volunteers of America of Florida has served and supported the most vulnerable people of America such as homeless individuals and families, veterans, underprivileged children & youth, people with disabilities and those recovering from addictions. Together we will grow Volunteers of America of Florida’s good work through the Sandra Gal Children’s Center and provide a safe and happy space for children in their Programs to learn and grow through mindfulness practice, meditation, golf and more. The goal of my Charity Challenge Pro-Am is to raise funds to support this effort. I have had the privilege of being brought up by two loving parents, who have always helped me to realize my dreams. That is why I would like to support these children and encourage them to follow their dreams.

Fundraising Goal:
Volunteers of America of Florida engages Floridians in need to create positive life changes through compassionate support services. Services include affordable housing, behavioral health services and job training, education and employment. Specific Floridians served are homeless Veterans, families and individuals coping with mental illness as well as low income Seniors.
The 2018 Sandra Gal Charity Challenge raised over $50,000. These proceeds went to creating the Sandra Gal Children’s Center at Volunteers of America of Florida. That Center will provide over a hundred formerly homeless children served by Volunteers of America of Florida’s family housing Program a safe & clean space to play, learn & heal.
The 2019 goal is to raise $75,000 to continue to support formerly homeless children by giving them a safe & happy place to follow their dreams, “The Sandra Gal Children’s Center.”

Charity Challenge Format:
My long-term vision for this event is to create a multi-day competition whereby male and female professional golfers will compete with each other in tournament competition to truly identify the best professional that week. Included in this tournament will be a premier Pro-Am competition to raise money for my charitable passion, in need children & families that are served by Volunteers of America of Florida. 18 Hole Pro-Am : The format will bring one celebrity golfer with four (4) amateurs to compete together as a team for nine (9) holes.

The auction is closed. The auction was held during the gala dinner at Sandra Gal Charity Golf Tournament in Mainz, Germany.
The winning bid was 3,000 EUR.
50% of the proceeds will be used for the „La Casita“ facility in Alzey and Kaiserslautern for mentally ill young fathers and mothers with their children.
